Once a year, far out on a vacant expanse of the Navada Desert, USA, a most surreal city arises from the cracked desert floor. here, artisitc endeavour and communcal belonging fuse to create the soulfully zany Burning Man, the unique arts gathering that is fuelling a social revolution. ‘Dust Devils’ captures the heart of the Burning Man experience, as felt by Irish and American participants with frank interviews, spectacular imagery and a stunning soundtrack.
Filmed over the course of five years ‘The Temple Builder’ paints a deeply intimate portrait of the man behind the myths; from his incredible art car and collage work, to the powerful spiritual centers he creates in the Black Rock Desert to his courageous work in San Rafael, CA for benefit of day-labourers, Best’s work powerfully impacts people around him.
